What is an AI Chatbot?

One definition might be: An AI chatbot is like a digital puppet that you can talk to and it will respond in a way that simulates human conversation.

A more formal definition is more like this: An AI chatbot is a software program that can carry out human-like conversations by responding to text chats.

This type of AI bot will help a company reduce customer tickets or trouble reports significantly. It will allow customers to self-service questions that are frequently asked based on the AI database.

An AI chatbot operates autonomously, using a process known as Natural Language Processing (NLP), combined with artificial intelligence and the data it collects through human interaction. It is likely that each of you has used a chatbot with your BigMobile company or BigCable company or your bank.

What are some applications for AI Chatbots?

Real Estate Chatbots can handle questions about selling, buying, and even renting homes. It can even provide progress reports on what’s happening with your real estate transaction.

Restaurant Chatbots can take orders, offer special deals to VIP customers, make recommendations (Would you like extra pepperoni on that pizza?), make reservations, or start the customer dispute process when needed.

HR Chatbots can use NLP and machine learning to expedite the hiring process for companies. These bots can do initial screenings to filter out the candidates that fit your company’s position.

There are many other uses for AI chatbots from customer service needs, to sales and finding products. Below is an example of the Attitude Chatbot.

Chatbots are great for making your customers feel heard right away. Quick responses help to sell more products and keep customers happy.
