Free Access: Individuality is key to helping developmentally challenged

The world of human services changes constantly because we are supporting individuals whose needs change quite fluidly. We have seen many changes over the years, but Tri-Development Center has maintained a constant vision which has led us to develop many community group homes and day programs to help meet not only the needs of our individuals but the services they asked for and were seeking.

We strive to ensure that individuals’ strengths and abilities are recognized and developed. People with disabilities are vital and integral members of our community. They are supported as members of our community, rather than clients of programs or consumers of services. Opportunities to grow and achieve are offered in natural settings on a systematic and timely basis.

As an agency, we want to actively listen to our individuals so we can continue to not only meet their needs, but address their concerns and provide excellent services. We want to consistently challenge ourselves to increase and enhance our overall services. I am a firm believer in providing quality customer service and seeking employees who truly want to make a difference in the health and human services field. During challenging times, I continue to be amazed at the resilience of the individuals whom we have the honor of supporting.

Our agency has always excelled to ensure that we are providing quality services to our individuals. We must understand that other providers are providing similar services in our local community as well. We must continue to focus on how to excel in this industry by not only meeting, but exceeding our individual needs.

We must never lose sight of our agency’s mission, vision, and philosophy and continue to examine those attributes as our agency moves forward.
