Local business is now universally respected

A local plumbing legend’s story is being told in an episode of a YouTube plumbing series.

Larry Jones, who started Universal Plumbing in Augusta in 1985, is featured in the Dead-End Road episode of Season 3 of American Plumbing Stories, produced by Pfister Faucets and hosted by country music artist, Craig Morgan.

“We are honored to be recognized by American Plumber Stories and are excited to share Larry’s story with the world,” Administration Manager, Shalanda Morris said in a press release. “Plumbing has provided a life that has been beyond Larry’s wildest dreams. Being selected to be featured as the season opener has made this experience even more special for us.”

Larry Jones created his business from the ground up 37 years ago.

The episode title refers to Jones’ childhood at the end of a dead-end road in a house without plumbing. Jones tells his story of growing up in poverty to a comfortable lifestyle through hard work in the plumbing industry. In the video, he encourages young men and women to explore the opportunities available in trade organizations. The video features the success stories of some of his employees, along with inspiring interviews about Jones’ compassion and ethics.

American Plumber Stories is a popular YouTube docuseries featuring plumbing companies across the country. The show focuses on industry leaders and businesses with inspiring and unique stories. You can view Jones’ episode here.
