Local entrepreneur starting over again with the same business

The adage is that you can’t go home again, but sometimes you can go back to a former business. Laura Boshell is proof of that.

Boshell started her cleaning business in 2011 but eventually put it aside to focus on other priorities, such as raising her children. She recently relaunched the business and changed its primary service.

Laura Boshell is relaunching a business she started 11 years ago.

Boshell originally launched Gleam Clean Services of Augusta, LLC as a side business to clean rental homes after tenants moved out and prepare homes to go on the market, but she said it now focuses primarily on residential pressure washing. This time, her family is also joining her in the relaunched business.

“My husband and three of my sons are doing pressure washing for things like houses, decks, and privacy fences,” said Boshell, who has worked in real estate for more than 20 years. “We’ve invested in some equipment.”

This equipment consists of a professional pressure washing machine mounted on a trailer.

Gleam Clean has a new pressure washing system.

Gleam Clean will also provide move-out cleaning services. She already has a website, but it’s old and much of the information is now obsolete. Revamping the site is currently on Boshell’s to-do list for relaunching the business.

“I had to get the business license and insurance redone,” she said.
