Augusta Technical College and Aurubis Richmond have been partnering together for years.
Tomorrow, they are coming together to celebrate some expansion at the campus.
Augusta Technical College will host a ribbon-cutting on Tuesday, Oct. 6, at 3:30 p.m. to recognize Aurubis Richmond for its generous support of the college, including investments in scholarships, workforce training students, and the refreshed outdoor patio space.
Aurubis Richmond’s support has helped refresh an outdoor patio space for workforce training students, creating a welcoming area for students to gather, connect, and take a break between classes and training sessions. The company’s broader investment in scholarships and workforce training reflects its commitment to strengthening the local workforce and supporting students as they prepare for high-demand careers in the region.
“We are grateful to Aurubis Richmond for their continued partnership and investment in Augusta Technical College students,” said Dr. Kendricks D. Hooker, president of Augusta Technical College, in a news release. “This refreshed patio space is more than an outdoor area. It is a visible reminder that local industry partners believe in our students and in their futures in our community.”
The event will take place at the Augusta Tech Augusta Campus, Building 600, 3200 Deans Bridge Road, Augusta, GA 30906.
