The Masters is a week away, when the golfing world will focus on Augusta, but before that, there is a tournament at The Landings Golf & Athletic Club in Savannah. It is part of the Korn Ferry Tour and sponsored by Club Car, based in Augusta.
Club Car is rolling out a new version of its Tempo golf cart lineup at the tournament. It features an Automatic Park Brake, an electronic parking brake system that automatically engages when the vehicle stops, which eliminates abrupt stops.
Jeff Tyminski, Vice President of Marketing and Product Management for Club Car, says, “Our new Automatic Park Brake with StopSmart™ Technology outperforms anything in the market and delivers a smarter, smoother, and superior experience for course operators and golfers.
The new Tempo Club Car golf cart dashboard features phone holders, cup holders, a single locking glove box for valuables, and USB ports for charging options.
“Our goal was to combine style and functionality to enhance the golfer’s experience,” added Tyminski. “With this sleek new dashboard, premium storage options, and innovative technology, the next-generation Tempo will exceed expectations on the course.”
All four rounds of the Club Car Championship are broadcast on the Golf Channel, and the tournament is one of only three regular-season events on the Korn Ferry Tour to air on network television.
It’s not just about golf; Club Car works with key supplier partners to raise funds that support the United Way of the CSRA and other charitable causes. Last year’s donation brought Club Car’s giving to more than $250,000.
“Our relationship with Club Car spans nearly 30 years and is a great example of corporate citizenship. The Club Car team is committed to donating more than money and employees continue to volunteer their time, effort, and resources to United Way and to our partner agencies,” said Brittany Burnett, Chief Executive Officer for United Way of the CSRA.
