If you need to fill a job quickly, you don’t want to wait days to receive a candidate’s drug test results. But a new Fastest Labs location coming to Martinez promises to have those results sent to you within a few minutes, according to Travis Evans.
Evans, franchisee of the new location at 4106 Columbia Road, Suite 102 in the Columbia County Medical Center, plans to open the business early next month. He said Fastest Labs provides a variety of lab services but specializes in pre-employment drug screening and DNA testing, which is primarily used to determine a child’s paternity.
The company also performs pre-employment and post-accident alcohol testing required by the U.S. Department of Transportation for commercial drivers, as well as athletic testing. It doesn’t perform Covid testing or most medical labs.
“We can perform some allergy testing,” Evans said.
While the office will be open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Fastest Labs will process urgent tests as needed.
“We can accommodate weekends, earlier hours, and later hours,” he said.
The new location will join other medical practices, including Covenant Pediatrics and a Piedmont Health Medical Center, in the same building.
“Fastest Labs complements the current tenant mix at the center and will provide valuable testing resources for the Augusta Metropolitan Statistical Area,” said Jordan Collier, Managing Director of Meybohm Commercial Properties, which handled the leasing agreement.
Fastest Labs was founded in 2008 and currently has more than 70 locations across the United States.
