A new retail center in west Augusta will allow local residents the opportunity to grab lunch, get a haircut and complete an intense workout, although not necessarily in that order.
Three new franchise locations are coming to the center, which is located at 3602 Exchange Lane off Walton Way Extension: McAlister’s Deli, V’s Barbershop and Orangetheory Fitness, according to Juli Means, Director of Marketing for Jordan Trotter Commercial Real Estate, LLC.
Means said these businesses will also be located less than a mile from the Augusta Exchange shopping center.
“This is the perfect tenant mix, which will create synergy for this development,” she said.
McAlister’s Deli, which already has locations in Evans and Grovetown, serves a variety of meals, including sandwiches, salads, soups and baked potatoes.
“McAlister’s is a charming neighborhood restaurant and gathering place,” Means said.
V’s Barbershop, which has locations on Professional Circle in Martinez and in Mullins Colony in Evans, will open its third CSRA location in the development.
“V’s is a classic barbershop offering men’s and boy’s haircuts, old-fashioned straight razor shaves, deluxe beard trims and masculine facials in a relaxing, professional environment,” she said.
Orangetheory Fitness, which has locations in Evans and Aiken, isn’t like most other gyms. You won’t find free weights or exercise machines, but it offers group fitness classes. An employee at the Evans location said these classes give members a high-intensity circuit training workout.
“People usually think of it as high-intensity interval training, but its heart-rate training,” the employee said. “You wear a monitor, and a TV screen shows your heart rate throughout the workout.”
Jordan Trotter handled leasing for these businesses. Means said one 1,400-square-foot retail space is still available in the center. For more information, email DJ Snead at DJ@jordantrotter.com.
