Recteq donation increases Master’s Table’s ability to serve

Food at The Master’s Table downtown will be cooked a little faster and a bit better, thanks to a donation from Recteq.

The grill manufacturer located in Evans recently donated a new RT-1250 Wood Pellet Grill to Golden Harvest Food Bank to be used at their downtown facility that serves meals to those in need. The grill, valued at $1,600, will allow The Master’s Table to prepare large quantities of hot food.

“At The Master’s Table, we serve around 200 meals each day, and cooking that amount of meat on a regular grill is a lot for one person,” said Kitchen Manager, LaDonna Doleman. “The Recteq grill will allow us to make larger quantities of meat on the grill at the same time and we’re also excited to provide our guests with smoky grilled food.”

The donation of the grill included a staff training session on Tuesday by Recteq Chef, Greg Mueller.

“We really enjoy supporting the local community,” Mueller said. “Golden Harvest Food Bank and its volunteers do a great job preparing meals daily for the less in our area. Adding a Recteq to their kitchen expands the variety of foods they can serve.”

The Master’s Table was created as a place of comfort and support for people in the downtown area who struggle to have their food needs met. The Master’s Table is open every day of the year from 11 a.m. to noon.
