Regional award for Aiken Tech’s Community Benefit Report

The businesses who support Aiken Technical College have some bragging rights. As ABD has reported previously, Aiken Tech works closely with the business community including partnerships with Savannah River Site (SRS), Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC), Savannah River National Laboratory (SRNL), and Savannah River Nuclear Solutions (SRNS).

Aiken Technical College received regional recognition for its 2021 Community Benefit Report from the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations (NCMPR). The annual publication was recently awarded the bronze Medallion Award in the NCMPR’s District 2 annual report category for its engaging content and design.

Produced annually by the Office of Marketing and Communications (MarCom), the publication highlights the College’s successes, impact, and initiatives from the calendar year. MarCom partnered with local business Design Persuasion for the design.

NCMPR is an organization for marketing, public relations, and communications professionals working at two-year community and technical colleges. The organization’s District 2 is comprised of 11 southeastern states plus Bermuda, the British Virgin Islands, and the Bahamas.

Over the years, the College has relied on key relationships to advance its mission of providing Aiken County opportunities for educational and workforce development. Partnerships with the County, the City of Aiken, legislative and congressional delegations, the Aiken County Public School District, business and industry, and the Aiken Technical College Foundation have made that possible.

The College has just released its newly published award-winning 2022 Community Benefit Report. To view the publication, visit .
