Unusual motivation for new CSRA business

Christopher Davis, Jr. found an unusual source of inspiration for rebranding one of the services his business offers: his divorce.

Davis, who just moved to Augusta from Hinesville a few days ago, owns CRXWN Home & Lawn Improvement, which he established in Feb. 2022. A couple of months ago, Davis rebranded his handyman services as Husband 4 Hire, which handles a variety of household tasks, including interior painting, flooring, drywall repair, and even dishes and laundry.

“It was kind of a joke at first,” he said. “If I couldn’t be my wife’s husband, I’ll be somebody’s husband.”

But when he began advertising his Husband 4 Hire services in the Hinesville area, the idea was an instant hit. On Sunday, Davis posted an ad on a popular Augusta business group, and many expressed interest in those services. One even asked if he’s available to be her actual husband, and another asked if he cooks.

What started as CRXWN Home & Lawn Improvement has been rebranded into a new business that is catching on in the CSRA.

While most of his clients are single women, Davis is available to help anyone. One of his most popular services has been assembling furniture.

“It’s a way to make light of a bad situation,” he said.

Davis charges a flat rate of $60 per hour and requires a minimum of one hour. For more information or to book an appointment, visit crxwnhomeservices.com/.
