Employee shortage forces closure of one Gary’s location

Saturday is the last day to enjoy a fresh biscuit with meat or handmade 1\3rd or 2\3rd pound angus beef hamburger at one of Gary’s better performing  locations on Wheeler Road, next to the Circle K. “We have no choice, but to shut it down,” said owner, Gary Gibson. The new owners of a medical spa are hoping business will be better for them than a trendy boutique in the Market at Riverwood at 3118 William Few Parkway. ABD has learned Johnson Motor Company of Georgia – located at 1122 Walton Way in downtown Augusta – will close its doors this week after nearly 86 years in the automotive sales and service business. Aqua Salon and Spa leased the far right end cap unit of this Davis Road plaza from 2020 until May 2021. Johnson Cadillac has been a fixture in downtown Augusta since 1936 first on Telfair Street and then on Walton Way.
