New businesses move into Grovetown

Three new businesses have located on a side strip of the Walmart on Steiner Way in Grovetown. At the time, there was only one vacancy alongside AT&T and Navy Federal Credit Union. Through negotiations, Meybohm realtor, Mark Pritchett, was able to relocate AT&T and brought in Smoothie Tropical Café, Sophia Nails, and another location for Evans Rehab Physical Therapy (ERW). Thrift store opens its 5th Georgia location in Augusta

America’s Thrift Stores opened its newest store yesterday at 270 Bobby Jones Expressway, next to Walmart. When ABD arrived around 11 yesterday morning, more than 100 shoppers were perusing the aisles. The Augusta store will accept donations of gently used clothing, electronics, and household goods, restocking more than 10,000 new items every day – playing off its tagline, “Where it’s a new store everyday!” “We are so excited to be extending our partnership with The Aflac Cancer & Blood Disorders Center and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta to the Augusta area,”

The prime spot is within The Shoppes at Riverwatch, right across from Dave and Busters and near the new Olive Garden. A slice of Texas moves to Downtown Augusta

El Paso, with its blend of Tex-Mex and authentic Mexican food, is moving into the original Mellow Mushroom location on Broad Street near 13th. In 2023, Mellow Mushroom moved across the street to 11th and Broad and left an artistic void that El Paso is filling. A few years ago, Hilton Hotels debuted a new brand concept designed to appeal to younger, tech-savvy travelers on a budget. It’s called Tru-by-Hilton and features a large open space for eating, gaming, and socializing. North Augusta growing again with major new home construction

Business is booming in North Augusta and now, a new neighborhood has opened that should ensure there will be families to patronize those establishments. The neighborhood, developed by Ivey Homes, will have approximately 170 dwellings. Single-family homes range from 1,490 to just over 2,900 square feet. They offer two to six bedrooms and two to four bathrooms. Prices range from $271,000 to $400,000. There will also be townhomes, offering two to three bedrooms.
