Downtown pizza business moving down the street

The downtown Mellow Mushroom is moving this summer, but don’t worry – it’s not going to go far. According to Katie Cason, media strategist with M3 Agency in Augusta, owners Shawn and Katy Ledford plan to move their pizza business about a block and across the street, from 1167 Broad St. to 1102 Broad St., the former home of 1102 Downtown Bar & Grill. Local companies develop initiatives to support nonprofits

KAMO Facility Solutions & Supplies is celebrating its 75th anniversary by giving back to the local community. Last year, the company developed its KAMO Gives initiative, but it has supported CSRA non-profit organizations for many years, according to Allie Bentley. Bentley, KAMO’s Marketing Director, said the business, which sells and services janitorial equipment, has partnered with many organizations, such as the United Way of the CSRA and Paceline, a nonprofit that hosts an annual bike ride to raise funds for Augusta University’s Georgia Cancer Center.
