New Olive Garden coming to Aiken

If you’re tired of driving from Aiken to Augusta to satisfy your craving for Olive Garden’s breadsticks, you won’t have to do that much longer. The popular Italian restaurant plans to open a new location in the former Golden Corral Buffet & Grill in front of the Aiken Mall. The city of Aiken plans to redevelop the building located at 2265 Whiskey Road in the next nine months, according to Meybohm Commercial Properties. Familiar Japanese restaurant moves to new location

A Japanese restaurant that has served the area for 15 years has a new home. Yosko’s is bringing familiar menu items and new ones to the former Flying Biscuit Cafe location in the shopping center outside the Riverwood subdivision in Evans. The restaurant opened in late April. Yosko’s once served its hibachi-style food in the current Laziza’s building in the Publix Shopping Center in Evans and most recently in the Fairway Square Shopping Center. Finally, a place where adults can let out their inner child. After much anticipation, Dave & Buster’s has announced that it will open its Augusta location on July 22. Sarge’s Soda Shop on the outskirts of Grovetown looks like a place you could find Archie and Veronica hanging out, or maybe teenage boys with ducktail haircuts and girls with poodle skirts. Lower food prices coming to South Augusta

If you’ve been grocery shopping lately, you’ve probably experienced sticker shock after seeing the prices of meat, milk, cereal, and other staples. To save money, many families now shop at Aldi, an international grocery store chain that plans to build its fifth CSRA location in South Augusta. The new Aldi store will be located next to Wells Fargo at 3121 Peach Orchard Road, the former site of University Health’s South Richmond County Campus. Customers line up to sample treats from the new Evans cookie business

Troy Akers just discovered that if you “build” cookies, they will come. People were lined up in the parking lot to buy treats from a new Crumbl Cookies franchise in Evans during its soft opening on Thursday. Akers, a local physician, Army veteran, and his wife, Nancy, own the store located at 4263 Washington Road, Unit 625 near Belk in Mullins Colony.
