
What does the Writer’s Guild strike mean for Augusta’s film industry?
Augusta’s burgeoning film industry could be threatened by a nationwide strike. The strike by members of the Writers Guild of America is entering its third week. This is the union’s first strike in approximately 15 years. Among the first shows to be impacted were nighttime talk shows, specials, and comedies, like Saturday Night Live. Atlanta television station WSB is reporting even catering businesses are impacted.
