Since taking the reins of Sig Cox four years ago, President Jeff C. Miller and his team have made a profound difference in the comfort level of eight CSRA families, who otherwise couldn’t afford an HVAC system. Sig Cox is a Lennox dealer. Feel The Love™ is a Lennox community program that provides free heating and cooling systems to homeowners who need a helping hand.  Each year, deserving individuals such as educators, first responders, healthcare workers, and families facing financial hardship are nominated by their communities for their selfless contributions.

The community and area businesses have an opportunity to support a project designed to help young CSRA men and women in their late teens to take their next step. Bridge Builder Communities (BBC) has launched an engraved brick campaign as part of its overall capital campaign. “Each brick is $200, three lines of 20 characters each, and we submit a certificate with it,” Dr. Jackson Drumgoole, BBC’s founder and executive director, told ABD. “You will be able to come by the community during our ribbon-cutting ceremony, or whenever you want

Thanks to Rob Ashe of AdMAX Advertising and Don Lawrence of D.C. Lawrence Commercial Real Estate for letting ABD know about an event that launches at 9:30 tomorrow morning (Saturday). Admission is free. Expect to see 250 cars, including 1956 Chevys to late model street cars. Awards are given out at 12 noon, and the event will continue until 2 P.M. Goal is to raise $8k, with a generous portion of that going to The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Augusta. A check presentation will take place on stage.

A two-day hunt at the Savannah River Site (SRS) created a lifetime of memories for 15 disabled hunters and their escorts during the SRS Ultimate Turkey Hunt. Made possible through the collaboration of the U.S Forest Service, the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), Savannah River Nuclear Solutions (SRNS), the National Wild Turkey Federation, and the Outdoor Dream Foundation (ODF), this annual event provides a unique turkey hunting experience for disabled hunters from across the country. Participants and their escorts are given access to the Site’s pristine woodlands spanning 90,000 acres and brings people together

Outdoor Dream Foundation’s annual Clay for Kids fundraiser to welcome kids with chronic or terminal illnesses. It’s an event at a shooting range to give sick children a chance to trade hospital walls for the great outdoors.
