Unique restaurant opens in time for Masters!

All poke bowls are not created equal, according to Angel Morgan. Morgan, co-owner of Build Yo Poke located in National Plaza, near Publix at 2816 Washington Road, Suite 101 in Augusta, loves poke, a Hawaiian dish made with raw fish or seafood cut into small pieces and served over rice. We recently saw a post that Mother Nature will bake us this summer because she had seasoned us in pollen, then marinated us in the fridge. Construction begins for Advanced Manufacturing Collaborative

A 60,000-square-foot facility, expected to drive sustainability of the manufacturing sector, is in the works for USC Aiken. Regional barbecue chain plans to build CSRA location

The CSRA may soon be home to a new barbecue restaurant, thanks to a regional chain that wants to build a location on the site of the former Romano’s Macaroni Grill in west Augusta. Jim ‘N Nick’s Bar-B-Q has submitted site plans to the City of Augusta. ABD contacted the Augusta Planning Commission regarding those plans. “Their site plans are still under review,” an employee for the Commission said. National coffeehouse chain to open CSRA location next month

Next month, you’ll have another option for picking up your morning cup of Joe. A chain of coffee shops is opening a new location in Augusta. 7 Brew Coffee is scheduled to open on Tuesday, April 11 at 105 Charlestowne Way off Washington Road, near Starbucks and Dunkin’, according to Isaac Mincks, the store’s general manager. Local independent pharmacy celebrates 10 years in business

Vic Johnson has been a pharmacist for nearly 39 years, and for 10 of those years, he has owned and operated an independent pharmacy in south Augusta. Big box flooring retailer to open CSRA location

A national retailer that sells and installs various types of flooring is bringing a new location to Augusta. Floor & Décor, which has more than 200 locations nationwide, is currently building a store at 110 Mason McKnight Junior Parkway, near Northern Tool + Equipment, CarMax, and other big box retailers. Like Home Depot and Lowe’s, Floor & Décor offers a variety of flooring options, including tile, stone, laminate, and vinyl.
