Starbucks to open new Columbia County location

No matter where you live in the CSRA, you probably don’t have to drive very far to get to a Starbucks. The coffee giant will soon bring another location to Columbia County. The land has been cleared to make room for the new store, which will be located between Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen and Taco Bell on South Belair Road in Martinez. Starbucks already has numerous shops throughout Columbia County and the CSRA, including Grovetown, Evans, Augusta, and North Augusta. Local nonprofit to host 5K for a worthy cause

On Tuesday, in only two hours, the Augusta Dream Center provided food for 138 CSRA families, according to its Executive Director, Kellie Cardona. Faith Friday: From white collar to blue collar: Faith powers Larry Jones’ plumbing business

The year was 1985. A young Larry Jones was wearing a suit and tie daily to work as an account specialist at the Medical College of Georgia. He was also burning the midnight oil, as the adage goes, helping a friend’s father with his plumbing. GreenJackets get new owner, little change expected

The Augusta GreenJackets have a new owner, but it will mostly be a case of the new boss being the same as the old boss. Last December, the GreenJackets had come under the management of Diamond Baseball Holdings, an organization formed by Endeavor Group Holdings.
