Local housing market experiences temporary slowdown

Local bank executive leads 2021 campaign to help the community

Jordan Pierce, the First Community Bank Market President will try and help lead the United Way efforts for their 2021 fund-raising campaign. In 2020, donations were down to $2,190,000—about half of funding received from many years in the past. Some of that is attributed to Covid-19. National chain opens Augusta stores in uncertain Halloween season

Last Halloween was more timid than usual in the CSRA—with some families not participating or others leaving buckets of candy unattended at the front door—due to Covid19. The spread of the Delta variant of Covid isn’t stopping the Spirit Halloween store chain. The next local store is set to open at the Augusta Mall. Both Doc’s Porchside locations now open for business

Bryan Hensley misses the wings at Wild Wing Café, but he just discovered Redneck Egg Rolls at Doc’s Porchside. Doc’s replaced Wild Wing’s two CSRA locations in Grovetown and Augusta, which closed July 31.
