
Downtown restaurant to close permanently next week
In less than a week, downtown Augusta will lose one of its long-time restaurants. Eric Kinlaw, the owner of The Bee’s Knees located at 211 10th St., announced on Facebook that the restaurant, which was established in 2002, will close permanently after serving its guests on Sunday, Nov. 20. “To have observed and been a part of countless interpersonal connections that started here has been the greatest accomplishment for me,” the post said. “But now it’s time to say goodbye.” ABD spoke to The Bee’s Knees General Manager, John Porter
