Hawaiian restaurant owners launch second CSRA location

Thomas and Tammi Kamae grew up in Hawaii and have served the flavors of the islands to CSRA diners for nearly 10 years. But they just expanded their restaurant by opening a second location less than a mile from the Augusta National Golf Club. Local pet boarding, grooming business undergoes a master expansion

Anne Dysinger’s business expansion was completed last month, just in time to house its four-legged Masters guests. Dysinger, owner of Paws in Paradise Luxury Resort & Spa located at 4319 Evans to Locks Road in Evans, now has two new 5,400-square-foot buildings that accommodate mostly dogs but also cats. The upscale business offers a variety of services, including overnight boarding, grooming, and dog training. National company acquires local restoration business

ATI Restoration, America’s largest family-operated restoration contractor, has announced the buyout of Venturi Restoration with an office in Augusta and in 16 other states. Both companies respond to emergencies including flooding, fires, and other disasters with property reconstruction and remediation for homes and businesses. New amendment caps cost of James Brown Arena construction

Cost overruns on major construction projects are common, but an amendment has been approved to ensure that doesn’t happen in building the new James Brown Arena. The project has an estimated price tag of $240 million and the amendment caps it at $250 million. The project will create an Augusta Entertainment Complex anchored by the new arena and includes major renovations to the Bell Auditorium, currently underway. Located at SRP park in North Augusta, S.C., the stadium is a key feature of activity in the CSRA. A bill to cover the cost to build a new James Brown Arena is making its way through the Georgia Legislature. A more than 1,700-acre development is reportedly coming to the North Augusta area. Information surfaced with a post on the Twitter feed of Eureka Earth, an Augusta-based company specializing in “shared robotics and autonomous systems.” Its social media and website feature aerial photos, primarily of the Augusta National Golf Club and The Masters tournament.
