Local game shop rolls dice and donates $6,000 to CSRA nonprofit

It’s not every day a Dungeons & Dragons tournament raises money for charity, but a group of local players came together on Saturday, March 12 to enjoy the fantasy role-playing game and support a worthy cause at the same time. Cardboard Castle Games, located at 672 Mullins Colony Drive next to Belk in Evans, hosted the all-day tournament to support Child Enrichment Inc., a local nonprofit. Homebuilders celebrate strong sales despite many challenges in 2021

Despite facing challenges related to covid, rising prices on materials and workforce shortages, local home builders still recorded a strong year for new home sales. To celebrate, the Builders Association and Sales and Marketing Council of Metro Augusta honored many of these professionals at its 2021 Stellar Awards ceremony on Tuesday, March 8 at the West Lake Country Club. “Despite all the challenges with supply costs, availability and workforce, we had a phenomenal year in new home sales,” said Tiffany Heitzman, Executive Officer of the Builders Association of Metro Augusta.

As the saying goes, “Blondes have more fun.” Whitney Harrington enjoys giving her clients the chance to find that out for themselves. Harrington, a local licensed cosmetologist, plans to open TBH Salon in the next couple of weeks.
